Work-from-home scheme urged anew in public, private offices amid surge

22 September 2021 – Mayor Benjamin Magalong encouraged anew public and private establishments offices and companies to employ work-from-home scheme to help curb Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) case clustering in workplaces.

“As cases continue to escalate in offices and businesses, we are again requesting government and private offices, establishments and companies to adopt work-from-home arrangements even only while the city continues to experience a surge,” the mayor said.

The mayor made the same appeal last August in the middle of preparations against the Delta variant.

Some establishments complied but there are still those that maintained full workforce. Apart from the work-from-home arrangement, the mayor suggested shifting and other schemes that would suit the workplace as long as it will result to a reduced manpower capacity that would lessen the chances of virus transmission. – Aileen P.
