SSS Baguio, Luzon North1 DO temporarily closed, reopen May 5

BAGUIO CITY, May 3(PIA)–The Social Security System Baguio Branch and Luzon North 1 Division Office are temporarily closed effective 12 noon today, May 3,  until tomorrow to give way to decontamination and disinfection procedures in the  entire premises.

Regional Communicatios Officer Christian Andrew  Rillorta said branch operations will resume on Wednesday(May 5).

In the meantime, members and employers may visit SSS La Trinidad Branch located at the G/F, Jewel Igorot Bldg., Km. 4 La Trinidad, Benguet ,  or may use our online platforms (My.SSS, Text SSS, SSS Mobile App).

Meanwhile, the City Health Services Office   is enjoining offices and establishments to embrace the so-called β€˜SAPAT’ DAPAT and adopt alternate work arrangement following the reported clustering of Corona Virus Disease (COVID) 2019 cases in government offices  in the city recently.   

As reported by the  Baguio City Public Information Office, among the offices that recorded  clustering of cases are the City Health Services office, Department of Agriculture – Cordillera,  Department of Social Welfare and Development,  City General Services Office, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Department of Labor and Employment, City Mayor’s Office, City DILG office, Public Order and Safety Division, City Council, Department of Public Works and Highways, City Environment and Parks management Office, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police.

To reduce COVID-19 transmission in the workplace, health authorities are advocating SAPAT DAPAT!  where   S stands for Safety officer who will be assigned to   ensure that  minimum public health standards are  followed especially  if there are long queue outside the office or store premises; Air circulation  and ventilation should be good ; Physical distance of  one meter or more; Always use face mask and face, and Time of interaction  should be  15 minutes or less.   

They also recommend that cleanliness should be observed at all times, and that workers  should boost   their immune system by exercising,  eating nutritious   food, drinking adequate fluid and  having  adequate sleep. (PIA-CAR)
