Seven first-timers visiting Baguio City were lucky enough to be selected as BCBC’s LSV 2024

BAGUIO CITY  –  (March 28, 2024)   As early as six o’clock on a Thursday morning, some BCBC officers led by BCBC President Thomas F. Picaña along with the representative of the City Tourism Office, City local representative traveled to the Flying V Gas Station in Pugo, La Union to conduct the selection for a group of first-timers visiting to Baguio City.

In coordination with the BCPO, DOTr, and LTO Flying Squad, assist the BCBC team in stopping the passenger buses from Manila to conduct the selection process.

According to Picaña, the selection took several hours and sixteen buses were stopped before Seven first-timer visitors to Baguio City were selected.

Pugo Mayor Kurt Martin’s office was also thanked for being a partner supporting the “Lucky Summer Visitors” program of the Baguio Correspondents and Broadcasters Club.

The first batch selected were the partners Jay Mea Bee Baling, Davao City, 33 years old, Government Employee and March Kareme B. Ugdaman, Purok 10 Kabisig, Calinan, Davao City, 33 years old, Government Employee;

The next batch is a family, headed by father James S. Soriano, Barangay 9 Victorias City, Negros Occidental, Seaman, married; Rezia B. Soriano, 21 years old, Barangay 9 Victorias City, Negros Occidental;  Ryza Jane B. Soriano, 17 years old, Barangay 9 Victorias City, Negros Occidental; John B. Soriano, 12 years old, Barangay Victorias City, Negros Occidental, and Sophia Marie B. Soriano, 10 years old, Barangay 9 Victorias City, Negros Occidental.

Tuba municipality officials led by Mayor Clarita Sal-ongan warmly welcomed the seven selected lucky summer visitors.

There was a simple program and the culture of the Tuba people was revealed to the guests.

The officials served the food and tokens were given away to the visitors.

It was past twelve noon when the guests arrived at the media camp where the LSVs were introduced to the media colleagues and guests.

The LSV also made a courtesy call to Mayor Benjamin Magalong’s office, but Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan was the representative who addressed the visitors

The BCBC team toured the LSV to the main tourist attraction, the Lion’s Head of Kennon Road, to take a photo as a souvenir and then to the View Deck, where visitors marveled at the beautiful view of Kennon Road, and lastly, they were taken going to Hotel Supreme to rest for a while and then picked up for dinner at the media camp.
