PROCOR WELCOMES THE DIRECTOR OF CHAPLAIN SERVICE

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – (June 21, 2021) – Police Regional Office Cordillera warmly welcomed the arrival of the Director of Chaplain Service, PBGEN JASON D ORTIZO as the guest of honor and speaker for the Distinguished Visitors Program coinciding with the Regular Monday Flag Raising ceremony at the Masigasig Grandstand in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on June 21, 2021.

Greeted by the traditional welcome dance performed by the men and women of PROCOR, PBGEN ORTIZO was received by PROCOR Deputy Regional Director for Operations, PCOL JOHN CHUA.

The PNP Chaplain Service plays a vital role in the Internal Cleansing Strategy of the PNP, conducting moral and values formation activities, and training volunteer Values and Life Coaches composed of church ministers, lay leaders, pastors, imams and priests nationwide. PBGEN ORTIZO’s visit to PROCOR aims to give updates on the current plans and programs of the Chaplain Service which will guide Cordillera police to become more disciplined, responsible, honorable and morally upright policemen.

PBGEN ORTIZO will also be visiting Baguio City Police Office and Benguet Police Provincial Office to conduct spiritual talk to men and also to meet with the different active Values and Life Coaches.

In his message, PBGEN ORTIZO reiterated, that this time of pandemic is a moment for everyone to share and to give to the less fortunate brothers and sisters as seen in the different Barangayanihan projects of the PNP. He also reminded everyone not to forget the Lord but rather making Him the center of our lives. In his words, “Let us once again refocus to the Lord, for he is the source of everything.” (PROCOR-PIO)
