GCQ operational capacity for leisure, recreation and tourism activities in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY – (10 February 2021) – Mayor Benjamin Magalong issued on Monday, February 8, Executive Order 10-A, as to the maximum operational capacity of leisure, recreation and tourism activities while the city is under General Community Quarantine, up to February 28.

All leisure, recreation and tourism-related industries, whether indoor or outdoor may cater to the public at a maximum of 75% of operational capacity, but may be reduced to accommodate appropriate ventilation specifications, minimum public health standards and physical distancing, the EO states.

Said venues refer to park concessionaires, libraries, museums, art and cultural centers, galleries, cinemas, theaters, non-sports recreational center, tourist attractions and the like.

Provisions in the earlier issued EO 10, in Jan. 29 is being supplemented while all other provisions remain including the following:

Food and beverage servicing and dine is allowed for 75% maximum seating capacity; for hotels, check-in guest accommodation is allowed with a maximum of 50%; eateries, gyms, eateries, salons, and personal care facilities are allowed up to 75%, and events, functions, social gatherings and allowed similar activities are capped at 30%. 

Minimum health protocols, wearing of face masks, face shields and physical distancing is also advised.  

The EO takes effect immediately and remains effective until 12:00 AM of March 1, 2021, or until the GCQ status of the city is lifted or modified by the Inter-Agency Task Force Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID). –  Julie G. Fianza
