City Veterinarian Dr. Silandro Bested underscored three vital concepts that serve as the bedrock of the government’s collective journey towards progress and success in the future.
In his inspirational message during the regular Monday flag raising ceremony at the city hall grounds, Bested said that the three important words that must be internalized by local government officials and employees are excellence, perfection and innovation.
He pointed out that excellence transcends the mere pursuit of being the best as it embodies the relentless commitment to surpassing one’s own limits and achieving greatness in every endeavor that are being undertaken by officials and employees.
He claimed that excellence beckons people to raise the bar of their expectations, urging them to constantly evolve, improve and strive for nothing short of their personal best.
“Excellence demands nothing less than our unwavering dedication, discipline and passion in all aspects of our lives,” Bested stressed.
On the other hand, he explained that perfection, though often deemed elusive and unattainable, serves as a guiding principle in the pursuit for excellence, thus, it is not about flawlessness in an absolute sense, but rather the relentless endeavor to achieve mastery and precision in everything that people undertake.
Further, he argued that perfection challenges people to refine their skills, hone their craft and meticulously scrutinize every details, driving them towards excellence in all aspects of their lives, thus, it is the pursuit of perfection that fuels people’s relentless pursuit of improvement, fostering growth and refinement in their character and endeavors.
In the case of innovation, Bested asserted that it is the catalyst that propels humanity forward, driving change, and shaping the future, thus, it is about breaking free from the shackles of convention, daring to explore new horizons, and envisioning possibilities beyond the constraints of the present.
