Below 15, over 65 age groups allowed to engage in permitted activities

BAGUIO CITY – (Feb. 16, 2021) – All persons aged below 15 years old or over 65 years old in the city are allowed to participate in permitted activities including tourism-related ones based on Executive Order No.10 series of 2021 (Prescribing General Community Quarantine Guidelines) which took effect Feb. 1, 2021.

The city government in an advisory said participation in permitted undertakings along with availment of essential goods or services and medical attention and reporting for work in permitted industries are the only activities allowed for said age groups under the GCQ rules of the city.

“However, these are subject to conditions that minors aged below 15 years old are accompanied by parents or guardians at all times while that they are engaging in permitted activities and that they are not to enter enclosed crowded places such as groceries, markets, supermarkets, cinemas and similar premises where the number of persons exceeds more than 30 percent of the place’s capacity,” the advisory read.

“As such, these people whether residents or tourists are allowed to enter public parks, playgrounds and other open spaces with their parents and guardians.  Entrance in private parks and open spaces are subject to the rules of their respective managements.” – Aileen P. Refuerzo
