PRO CAR Deploys 1,604 Personnel Across Cordillera Ahead of Holy Week and Summer Vacation

To ensure a safe and orderly observance of Holy Week and the start of the summer vacation, PBGEN ERICSON D DILAG, Regional Director of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR), has ordered the deployment of a total of 1,604 police personnel regionwide to safeguard residents and visitors.

In line with PRO CAR’s commitment to deliver mabilis, tapat, at nararamdamang serbisyo, the deployment focuses on providing accessible and responsive police presence across the region. With the expected influx of travelers, PRO CAR personnel are stationed along major thoroughfares, transportation hubs, and terminals to offer assistance, maintain order, and ensure smooth traffic flow—particularly as passengers are anticipated to flock to bus terminals to return to their respective provinces in the coming days.

Police officers are also strategically positioned in places of worship, commercial establishments, and other convergence areas such as malls, parks, markets, and venues hosting religious activities to enhance public safety and uphold peace and order.

Apart from the deployment plan, PBGEN DILAG directed all Provincial Directors and the City Director to strengthen coordination with partner agencies, especially Local Government Units (LGUs), to ensure comprehensive security across the region. Personnel are also reminded not only to maintain 24/7 operational readiness but also to remain approachable, knowledgeable about local landmarks, and ready to provide efficient service to residents and visitors across the region.

In addition to police personnel, 91 personnel from augmentation units and 782 members of advocacy groups will be deployed to further strengthen public safety and security efforts across the region.

Holy Week observance marks the start of the summer vacation, and PRO CAR is taking proactive steps to ensure a safe and secure celebration for all. These measures aim to maintain order, assist travelers, and protect the public, ensuring that both the Holy Week observance and the summer vacation are carried out safely and smoothly across the region.
