Globe Celebrates “Blooming Without End” at Panagbenga 2026: Empowering Baguio’s Community Through 5G Innovation

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — As the “Summer Capital” prepares to burst into a kaleidoscope of colors, Globe returns to the 30th Panagbenga Festival with a mission to put the Baguio community at the heart of the celebration. Under the official festival theme “Blooming Without End,” Globe is set to highlight Baguio’s rich heritage and tourism through a series of high-energy, 5G-powered activations designed for families, students, and festival enthusiasts.

In close coordination with the Baguio Flower Festival Foundation Inc., Globe is reinforcing its commitment to the region by enhancing how locals and visitors discover and share the beauty of the Cordilleras. This year, Globe prepared a wide range of events and activities to deliver the best Panagbenga experience, combining enhanced 5G network performance for seamless sharing, vibrant digital and community-focused youth activations, and exclusive rewards to support local businesses for the benefit of both locals and tourists.

Seamless digital experience

To ensure a seamless digital experience for the thousands of expected attendees, Globe deployed its first-ever 5G Connectivity on Wheels (COW) at the Ganza Parking Area in Burnham Park starting February 1. This onsite network performance boost ensures that every floral float, street dance, and “Instagrammable” moment is shared in real-time with ultra-fast speeds and reliable support. This technological backbone served as the foundation for the 5G HyperMove initiative on February 21, which will see runners and photo clubs kick off from the Melvin Jones Grandstand. The photo clubs will use this opportunity to capture Baguio’s lush green side. As a treat for early birds, the first 100 runners wearing their official singlets enjoyed a free iced coffee at Jollibee Harrison with any food purchase.

The digital celebration continues with 5G EnergyTok, a city-wide TikTok dance challenge featuring influencers and locals at iconic spots like Wright Park and Camp John Hay. Beyond social media, Globe is investing in the local youth through the 5G Building Craft: Paint Tomorrow mural competition on March 1. In partnership with VIVISTOP Baguio, Senior High and College students will showcase their vision of a “Baguio Reimagined” with 5G technology and ethical AI. The musical spirit of the city will also be on full display during the 5G EnergyJam on March 5 and 6, featuring acoustic sessions from university talents at Hot Cat Specialty Coffee and Rebel Bakehouse.

“Our return to Panagbenga is about more than just connectivity but about championing the spirit of the Baguio community and providing a platform where heritage and innovation can bloom together,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Chief Marketing Officer at Globe. “By empowering our youth, supporting local businesses, and blending tradition with 5G technology, we aim to create meaningful experiences that allow every Filipino to rediscover the beauty of the North.”

People who reside in Metro Manila have an opportunity to join the festivities in Session Road in Bloom by choosing Globe’s partner transportation, Victory Liner, as their mode of transportation, beginning from their terminals in Pasay or Cubao. Globe subscribers can benefit from a boosted signal at Victory Liners’ terminals and enjoyable selling activities for 5G SIMs.

From March 2 to 8, the Session Road in Bloom will host the Globe 5G Pitstop, a vibrant hub offering immersive experiences and interactive contests. Visitors can engage in the activities while enjoying giveaways from partners like Leslie’s Snacks. Jollibee is also giving away 3,000 free regular fries vouchers available via the GlobeOne and Jollibee apps.

To further support local businesses, Globe Rewards is offering exclusive discounts at Ling Nam, Highland Brew, and Hot Cat Specialty Coffee, allowing festivalgoers to enjoy the best of Baguio’s culinary scene for less. #
