PRO CAR COPS Arrest 18 Wanted Personalities in Weeklong Manhunt Ops; 60 Municipalities Record Zero Crime Incidents

As Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) cops continue to step up their efforts in the anti-criminality campaign, a total of 18 wanted personalities were arrested in a weeklong manhunt operation, while 60 municipalities recorded zero crime incidents from November 23 to 29, 2025.

According to the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division of PRO CAR, the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) recorded the highest number of arrests, with six wanted persons apprehended. This was followed by the Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO), which recorded five arrests. The Apayao PPO and Kalinga PPO recorded two arrests each, while Benguet, Ifugao, and the Regional Headquarters recorded one arrest each.

Meanwhile, due to intensified police presence and community cooperation, 60 municipalities in the different provinces of the region, along with two police stations in Baguio City, reported zero crime incidents during the same week. Specifically, zero crime incidents were recorded in 21 municipalities in Abra, 10 in Ifugao, nine each in Benguet and Mt. Province, six in Apayao, and five in Kalinga. In Baguio City, Police Stations 4 and 8 also reported zero crime incidents, out of the city’s 10 police stations.

In addition to these accomplishments, PRO CAR recorded a Crime Clearance Efficiency rate of 83.02% and a Crime Solution Efficiency rate of 81.13% for the week. These outcomes are attributed to the diligent efforts of police officers in responding to and solving reported incidents.

PRO CAR’s success is anchored on the active involvement of its personnel, the strong support of the community, and the effective execution of anti-criminality strategies aligned with the PNP Focus Agenda of the Acting CPNP, PLTGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ, JR. These efforts include reinforcing the Enhanced Managing Police Operations and continuously improving and implementing risk management plans at all levels, ensuring efficient police service and promoting a safer, more secure Cordillera region.
