LEADERSHIP IN ACTION: PBGEN DILAG Conducts First Command Visit to Apayao PPO

In a continued effort to strengthen police operations and uphold personnel welfare across the Cordillera Administrative Region, PBGEN ERICSON DIAZ DILAG, Regional Director of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR), conducted his first command visit to the Apayao Police Provincial Office (PPO) at Camp Gov. Elias K. Bulut Sr. and Training Center, Brgy. Sta. Lina, Luna, Apayao on October 17, 2025.

PBGEN DILAG was warmly received by PCOL ARNOLD D. RAZOTE, Provincial Director of Apayao PPO. The visit commenced with foyer honors, followed by a vibrant cultural performance by the Apayao PPO dancers, highlighting the province’s rich heritage and the community’s deep support for the police force.

As one of the highlights of the visit, PBGEN DILAG personally awarded PNP medals to five police officers of Apayao PPO in recognition of their dedication and exemplary service.

In his message, PBGEN DILAG lauded the efforts of the personnel of Apayao PPO for their dedication to public service and urged them to remain steadfast in their duties.

He emphasized the need to adopt modern policing tools such as crime-mapping, drone surveillance, body-worn cameras, and data-driven analysis to boost efficiency and responsiveness, while fostering collaboration with local government units, partner agencies, and the community.

“Protecting Apayao means safeguarding not only its residents but also the countless visitors who come to experience its beauty and tranquility,” he added.

As part of the visit, PBGEN DILAG also toured the Apayao PPO Provincial Headquarters, featuring the Camp Development Plan scale model, the visitors’ lounge, and the history wall, which highlights the humble beginnings and growth of the local police force.

Further, PBGEN DILAG presided over a command conference with key officers of Apayao PPO, where he reiterated the importance of swift, efficient, and community-oriented policing. He encouraged personnel to sustain police visibility, strengthen strategic deployment, and intensify anti-criminality efforts, emphasizing that a proactive and responsive police force is the foundation of public safety, institutional integrity, and community trust.
