PDEA OPENS DEOBC CLASS 2025-22 TRAINING
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) opens another Drug Enforcement Officers Basic Course (DEOBC) Class 2025-22 training today, (Monday), October 6, 2025, at the PDEA Academy in Camp General Mariano N. Castañeda, Silang, Cavite.
The DEOBC Class 2025-22 is composed of 65 Agent-trainees (51 males and 14 females) who took their oath and underwent reception rites, marking the beginning of their six-month regimented training as drug enforcement officers.
The application process ran from January 2025 to April 2025. After undergoing pre-examination processing and medical and dental examinations at the testing centers in the cities of Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and Quezon, qualified applicants underwent a stringent physical fitness test, neuro-psychological examination, background investigation, and panel interviews.
The PDEA Drug Enforcement Officers Basic Course comprises basic management and leadership, communication enhancement skills, community-based anti-illegal drug advocacy, legal studies, anti-illegal drug intelligence and tactics, interdiction operations and investigation, and other non-academic activities.
“These promising men and women answered the call of service to defend the future of our people. They have chosen a noble path. There is no greater calling than service to God and country. But it is not bestowed freely. They must earn it, requiring dedication, discipline, and commitment on their part”, said PDEA Director General Undersecretary Isagani R. Nerez.
DG Nerez said that the DEO aspirants are not only here to earn a badge and diploma. “They are here to transform themselves into a character one worthy of the trust and confidence of the Filipino people”, he added.
The continuous hiring of DEOs will boost the government’s efforts in the national anti-drug campaign and ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) on a nationwide scale. (PDEA File Photos)
