2 Drug peddlers busted, over 1.3-M Marijuana seized

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet- (Aug. 1, 2021) –  Collaborative efforts of PDEA and PNP anti-illegal drugs operatives resulted in the arrest of two (2) drug peddlers and seizure of ten (10) dried Marijuana bricks worth over PHP 1.3 Million in a buy-bust operation conducted at Sitio Bakras, Brgy. Bulanao Centro, Tabuk City, Kalinga in the afternoon of July 30, 2021.

According to reports submitted to the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, disclosed that operatives of PDEA, PIU/PDEU CPPO, PDEG SOU2, Kalinga PPO, RPDEU, RSOG and RID PROCOR, launched the operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspects identified as Cindy Paclay Addawi (SLI), 40 and Saldy Solog Wasigan (SLI), 28, both unemployed and residents of Tabuk City.

The suspects were arrested after selling ten (10) bricks of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops weighing MOL 11,000 grams with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PHP 1,320,000.00 to an undercover operative.

Also, during the course of their arrest, operatives seized the boddle money; cellular phone; and Honda RS 150 motorcycle used in the transaction.

Markings and inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence were done on-site witnessed by Media Representative, Melisa Guavez; DOJ Representative, Nakingngak Bangloy; and Brgy. Kagawad Jerome Mendoza.

The confiscated pieces of evidence and arrested suspects were brought to PDEA Tuguegarao City for proper disposition, while a case for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 is being prepared for filing against them. (PROCOR-PIO)
